Dr. Seiya Oba is a 4th-year graduate student at Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) and the National Institute of Infectious Diseases. He received his medical degree in 2015 from Kagawa University. He completed a residency at Marutamachi Hospital in Kyoto and a rheumatology fellowship at TMDU. His research interests include elucidating the pathogenesis of thrombosis and aggravation in SARS-CoV2 using various mouse models. He has been involved in studies on antiphospholipid antibody syndrome from the clinical study. He is a member of the Japan College of Rheumatology, The Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, and The Japanese Society of Clinical Immunology
