Dr. Shahnawaz Jadeja (PhD) is a postdoctoral research fellow working in the laboratory of Prof. Desmond Tobin at the Charles Institute of Dermatology, University College Dublin, Ireland. His current postdoctoral research project is aimed to discover autoantigens in the human anagen hair follicle which are responsible for triggering the immune-mediated responses in non-scarring hair loss disorder ‘Alopecia Areata. Shahnawaz is keen to understand the cross-talk between the cellular stress mechanisms and the development of auto-immune/inflammatory responses in the pathophysiology of skin disorders.
