Dr. Muhammad Mansoor Mohiuddin is a tenured Professor of Surgery and Director of Cardiac Xenotransplantation Program at the University of Maryland Baltimore, MD, USA.
He previously served as Chief of Transplantation, Cardiothoracic Surgery Research Program, National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Director of Xenotransplantation Laboratory at Rush University Chicago, while holding faculty positions at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and Rush University, Chicago.
Dr Mohiuddin has been involved in Xenotransplantation Research since 1991 and has started xenotransplantation research programs at Rush University, Chicago, IL, National Institute of Health, Bethesda, MD and now University of Maryland Baltimore, MD
Dr Mohiuddin led the recent first pig to human transplantation at University of Maryland on January 7, 2022. Dr Mohiuddin received a honorary Doctor of Science degree from DUHS and was announced as one of the top 10 people who helped shape science in 2022 by nature magazine.
