a. Israel Lowy, M.D., Ph.D., joined Regeneron in 2010 as vice president, and now serves as senior vice president, translational and clinical sciences, oncology. He is a primary architect of Regeneron’s cancer immunotherapy program. Prior to joining Regeneron, Dr. Lowy was at Medarex for eight years where he led the first clinical trials of anti-PD-1 and anti-PD-L1 immunotherapy. Before that, he was assistant professor of medicine and microbiology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Lowy is a licensed physician and has been board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases. He received his A.B. in biochemical sciences from Princeton University and his M.D., Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biophysics from Columbia University.
